Day Seventy: Still green

My little victory garden isn’t feeling too victorious. My plants have only a few tiny starts and those are still completely green. I’m beginning to think that short of a really hot September, we aren’t going to see homegrown tomatoes this year.

  • My tomato experiment was unsuccessful as well, but MoC managed to get a few. I keep meaning to get to the Farmers Market which is about 200 yards from my house, but …

  • Our tomatoes are still green too and we have lots of them!! Normally, we’ve had a zillion of them for a month or so. :( Disappointing indeed!

    I also had a porch tomato experiment (of the hanging variety) and didn’t get much result either. What did end up growing got stolen by squirrels, and everything stayed green.
    Jalapeno plants, however, did wonderfully this year. Mmm, spicy!
