I read this and found myself pausing and breathing deeply. Thank you for the reminder. Of course, great pic too!

A perfect message for a lovely day. And thank you for sharing the lilacs – I haven’t seen any locally yet, so this was a welcome sight!

It’s such a short but glorious season. I love that scent so much. So, taking deep breaths to last me! ~W

I can smile and go slowly, now that I have my back lawn fertilized. Now let the rain come!

I wish I had read this yesterday. We had extended-family drama.

Lilacs, such an old fashioned flower, so dependable. I often think of the women who plant these. How they looked to the future. A young lilac has nice bark but few flowers. An older bush is usually gnarled and twisted but the flowers are brilliant and so fragrant. Here on the prairie they often are sentinels, still guarding homesteads that are no more. The ones here are still gray with nary a leaf, just silently waiting. What analogies would we present with our lives as young girls and then old women. Beautiful photo by the way. Happy spring.

Thanks!! I such a fan of these things–I could plant acres and acres of them just for a few days of glory. ~wen

Happy 7th blog anniversary! I actually made my way through the whole post and was going to comment (knowing full well that the giveaway had already occurred, mind you) but found the comments to be closed. I had to leave my congratulatory comment here, and my anal retentive self had to explain why.

What a perfectly lovely jar of lilacs. I could stare at it all day.
