Not one parent I know is perfect because if they were...what on Earth would we all do then? We get to live with our amazing parents and see their gifts and shortcomings and insights (and yours are beautiful) and know that it is then up to us to reach inside and grow ourselves up however we need to, at whatever time it needs to happen...It certainly helps if you have a darned good foundation and parents that can search inside and put that aside and then truly see who their children are and then try try try. You've got it. So does my mom. We'll get the rest.

Oh also? My mom has green eyes and since that's pretty much a rarity in the world...I'd say it at the very least, makes you a superhero!

Inspirational. No parents are perfect . . . even when we try to do our best, we will stumble and fall sometimes but continuing to try, to support, to stay on the side of positive is important.

Great post about parenting and so true about all of our children. (and our parenting) Whenever anyone says anything about my 23 and 19 year old "children," I respond, "Works in progress." I'm still doing TONS of parenting, when many think it ends at 18. HA HA Your wonderful kid is very fortunate in the parents he was born to!! (and vice-versa of course)
