  • You have a cold or you are cold–or both?

I am. Our furnace died yesterday morning and the repair guy won’t be here until tomorrow afternoon. This is an old house with little insulation–so it’s cold. Fortunately, our low is only going to be 51 tonight. ~W

  • Wishing you warmth! I recommend throwing your socks and pj’s in the dryer for a few minutes before donning them to go to bed. Nightcaps of the woolen and run’n'butter varieties might also be in order….

    Loving the painting though.

That’s so funny, because when our child was little, we would heat his blanket in the dryer for him before bed. We kept that up until he was 8–and when he’s sick I still do it. I’ve tried it here, but by the time I get my warmed clothes on and up the stairs, they’re cold again. It’s a long walk from the dryer I guess! :D ~W

  • Cap:

It’s not that I don’t sympathize with your temperature issues … but that painting is incredible. Who is the artist?

The artist is Kat Hannah. You can buy prints of this piece in her etsy store. IZ bought the original for me as a Christmas gift and I adore it! ~W

  • IZ:

That painting is perfect -captures the feeling here perfectly. Kat Hannah is fantastic to work with -and her work is wonderful.
