When my parents would take us somewhere and we arrived home, we’d jump out of the car and race to the door. Someone would yell, “I got first!” and “I got second!” and “I got third!” And then I would trudge forlornly (as only a Capricorn can) to the door and my dad would say, “Cheer up, Cap, you got fourth!” Oddly enough, it did always cheer me up.

I’ve waited my whole life to say (at least), “I GOT SECOND!”

I won! I know there is no reason to necessarily feel “proud” of myself, I mean, it required no ability to make a random guess (however, it wasn’t completely random… I used the time [10:21] and the day of the month [25th] to come up with my guess), but I’m ecstatic

I’m with Heidi… that’s a lot of spam! Wow!

It’s a ridiculous amount of spam. Which is why, when my filter failed, I lost comments. There was just too much spam to cull through for the good stuff. And interesting approach to finding a number. ~W

Looks like Marie won the contest. Good for Marie but bad for you–that’s a whole lotta spam. What’s up with 2000 messages in your moderation queue, though? Don’t you have options to tighten the rules for what’s allowed in your inbox?

Akismet sorts my incoming comments and filters out my spam. But it holds it in a queue in case I want to review it. If I don’t delete it in two weeks, then Akismet will. So, that number is the amount of spam I got while I was away. Oy!
