I LOVE Elbow. They are one of my favs right now – but I haven’t been able to figure out why Grounds for Divorce is named that. Cause when I tell people I like that song, they look at me weird. (You know…) So catchy – and I hadn’t seen the vid until now – thanks for sharing!

Hmm… it’s a bar song. However, that first line: “Monday is for drinking to the Seldom Seen Kid” is a tribute to a friend of theirs who died a few years ago. As well, the last song: A Friend Of Ours, is a goodbye to him. THAT song makes me cry—something about Guy Garvey singing, “Love you mate” that takes my breath away. As for “Grounds for Divorce”… well, you spend that much time in your local watering “HOLE”, it’s probably grounds for divorce. Or that would be my guess. Emphasis on GUESS. ~W
