Oh no! I always worry when people buy my candles. Despite the fact it happens to me, as well. I did it just today. I lit a candle and then we decided we needed to leave and I blew out the candle before it made it to the edge. OOF. It does work, tho. I’ve fixed many a candle doing it this way and it works! I think I’ll work on printing up some burning instructions to include with my candles–I wonder if people would read them?? ~W

Ugh…I actually walked away from a candle for TWO days. Yup…it sat right in the kitchen and kept burning away. Everytime I think about that I want to just faint. Luckily, I didn’t burn the candle to it’s full potential at the start, so I think the wax tunnel saved me…but, I will from now on follow these fantastic instructions!

Since I’m the world’s worst candle caretaker, this is all great advice. I have had problems with tunneling, but didn’t know it was called that. Got snow?

OH!! so THAT’S what causes the tunneling. duh. makes perfect sense now that i think about it. wonder if it’s too late to rescue my yankee candle votives

also, way to make me feel like a twit for not ordering that badass candle in time for christmas!
