That is a lovely night–I adore pesto! We mostly stay in on Friday nights ourselves, but not in such a special way.

We’ve been starting to do date nights every Friday. Usually it’s nothing big – we don’t have a lot of “free” money and the baby can’t be left for long – but it’s just nice to get out for even an hour or so. But you know what? Staying *in* sounds kinda nice, too!

Staying in was LOVELY. But I think even getting out for a walk together is necessary, except exercising isn’t my definition of romance. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, you know? ~W

Yes- date nights. Why are they so difficult to come by? It’s one of our resolutions as well.

Oh I’m happy that you two got a date night. One of my “resolutions” for the year is to work more of those in with the HP.

It’s so hard. Especially finding a sitter. G is at an age, that we can run errands during the day without him… but it’s not the kind of thing that is relaxing. We jokingly call our Costco runs, “date night”… but it’s neither–a date, nor at night. And as much as I love the kid, we’re together SO much, it’s nice to have adult time over dinner. ~W
