Even in the rain, this compact campus is beautiful. Lucky you to have gone to such a school! Even more cool, to be able to share it with G. I think it is funny, and telling, that he is “slightly jealous”… perhaps that will inspire him.

I was kinda shocked at his response… he believes he is SO ready to be in the world NOW. And yet, we both know he isn’t. That passion is a good thing, I think. And yes, I adore that school. I truly do. ~W
What wonderful memories you have of this lovely time and place in your life, made even more so by being able to share them a little with BW.
Rain well really it is Seattle, right.

Indeed, it is Seattle. For some reason, the rain bothers me much less in the city than it does out here on the coast. ~W
It is a beautiful campus–still kind of wish that Alison had wanted to do gymnastics there. It would have been a great experience for her. But Western will be fine as well.

Western is a great school and I suspect she’ll be very happy there. But, I’m with you–I think SPU would have have been a terrific fit, for more than gymnastics too! Considering all she’s been searching for this past year, SPU would have been a nurturing environment and I think she might have found what she was looking for there in that regard. But, the Universe provides. And we will trust that it and your darling girl know what’s best. ~W
