Sunday Sermon

Perspective is a good thing. We don’t seek it as often as we should. There is a fine line between noticing the details and being overwhelmed by them. And yet, ever mindful, life is in the details.

The real trick is recognizing that the Universe gave us peripheral vision for a reason.

I do try to see the forest and the trees. Not always easy though. I do love immersive detail – where there is so much of it that it creates a “feeling” but where you wouldn’t know it without looking for it.

I typically don’t see the forest until it’s been burned down. :D ~W

  • I get “caught up” in the forest at times and can only see ALL those trees. I get lost and have to find my way through them so that I can get a more global perspective. (see where I am and where I’d like to be)

Ahh… the proverbial, “Climb the tree to see the horizon”. :D ~W

I cleared the forest and built an office park and a strip mall. I’m all about progress ;)

On a more serious note, I love this shot. The color just jumps out at me. What kind of camera do you use? I’m going to be investing in a new one soon.

    Oh, thank you! I use a Nikon D50. ~W

Hello ~ Welcome to Evidently

Your comments are like sunshine on a grey day. And do you know how much cloud cover there is here on the Coast of Oregon? A ton... so keep the sunshine coming!
