I was going to guess David Austen, but I’m going to put my money on “Perdita” which won an award for fragrance in 1984. I found a blog page with a picture that looks like a ringer for the rose you have pictured–I’ll e-mail it to you! ~A

That looks like “A Shropshire Lad” rose to me, a David Austin old english rose. You can look up more information on it at davidaustin.com and do a search for it by that name. Its a beautiful rose indeed, one of my favorites

Get some rest–even though the mocha looks delicious. He’s not yet a teen, but a pre-teen is close enough. Those were the “interesting” years around here–then after the driver’s license. Bah.

Just want to say that mocha looks scrumption and I can almost smell that lovely rose!

That mocha (a Borgia really) was the best mocha I drank all weekend. And the rose smelled heavenly. I wish I knew what it was! I’m planning a whole new rosey patch in the yard now! ~W
