Fresh!

This is perhaps the best time to be buying fresh flowers from the sidewalk stands. My personal favorite in town is on the corner of 7th and Hwy 202. I can see this little splurge quickly turning into an addiction.

Yeah, that’s my way of saying there’ll probably be more of these kinds of photos appearing on this blog before the summer is over. Can you blame me?

This stand always has the nicest flowers. But you have to go early as they sell out fast! And thanks!! ~W

Oh my - 2 bucks! That’s less than a latte with longer lasting happy effects! (Well, except you make delightful lattes at home, so um, less than a milkshake at the Pig and Pancake!) Wait, is that the name of the greasy spoon we always stop at in Astoria - just north (I think) of the bridge?

Flower stands? Are you serious? Astoria is officially heaven on earth.

Lots of locals do this. They cut flowers from their gardens and sell bouquets. There are dozens of little garden huts with shelves loaded with flowers. It’s seasonal, but fun! And BW calls Astoria heaven on earth, “Because most of the people here are old and this is obviously a ‘pre-heaven’” Heh.

I CAN’T BELIEVE I GET TO MEET YOU!!! I solemnly swear that I will not mention yoga in your presence.

Yeah, the vase thing makes me giggle. :D And I’m excited to meet you as well!! Your “solemnly swear” reminds me of Harry Potter’s map, “I solemnly swear that I’m up to no good!” :D ~W

Oh my comment I left yesterday didn’t make i. (weird!)
Anyway, Ithink it’s great that you support your local people.
Flowers for $2.00 is a deal! And seriously, you know you can’t get an iced coffee or latte for less than $2.00 either!

That is weird. Sometimes my spam filter eats comments. Do let me know if it happens… because I’d hate to miss what you said! :D ~W
