I will stay open. And I will always carry pink and purple hanging plants. ;)

Being open is a good way to be. It can be scary but it is also almost always rewarding. I like this thought for today …

Open your heart and float with a straight spine to Prasarita Padattanasana? Oh wait, that’s from my yoga script for tomorrow’s intensive.

Stay open to traveling by ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island, driving to Clinton, hopping on another ferry to Mukilteo, and driving from Mukilteo to the hometown of the annual Salmon Days Festival.

Heh, I actually took the Keystone ferry Friday and spent two days on Whidbey. We’re now in PT and on our way home tomorrow. Sadly, we’re not headed your direction as IZ needs to be back to work.  ~W

Open is so wonderful…hard sometimes, but quite rewarding…Funny this, Open was a theme talked about with the girlies this weekend…some tears were shed, some deep belly laughter was shared…

I’m trying to stay open, yes indeed. It is harder sometimes than others. I don’t like getting hurt.

Psha, I live in a place where things CLOSE at 6! URGH. Sometimes I have a hard time keeping an open mind, since it’s usually wandering! :)

It is hard to get used to those early close times. An open mind is a healthy mind. I hope. :D ~W

I always marvel at your ability to come up with such a succinct message and the perfect picture to accompany it. I guess it’s an indication of how open you are to what surrounds you.

Oh, I struggle with those sermons, more often than you’d imagine. I’m glad they mean something to you, though. Sometimes, I put them up and wonder if I’m all wet! :D ~W

  9. Tug Says:

I just tonight found you through Capricorn, & it couldn’t be better timing! I have always thought of myself as an ‘open’ person…yet lately am realizing how closed I am getting. This scares me, & your ‘open’ picture is a great reminder. Thank you!

  10. Forgive and Forget « The friggin’ cat house Says:

[...] Jun 10th, 2007 by capricorncringe I’ve been meaning to pimp Wende’s site and I couldn’t find a way to work it in to whatever I was ranting about. It’s a little awkward to list my favorite expletives and then write, “Oh by the way, check out Wende’s fucking awesome crafts. She’s got a kickass store that all you stupid jackass douchebags will love.” See? It doesn’t work. But today I have the opportunity to tell you intelligent, discerning, and erudite people about her store called Thrifty Goodness. I’ve wanted a pair of these lounge pants since I first discovered them, but I refuse to order them until I reach a point that I will not be embarrassed to give my measurements. But I digress … sort of. She does a little thing she calls Sunday Sermon, where she posts a picture that reflects an idea or a thought. Sometimes she writes a few paragraphs about it, but usually she leaves it up to the reader to decide what it means to them. Today’s picture is here. And this is what I thought when I saw it:For several weeks I have been contemplating contacting an old friend of mine. (And for you regular lurkers, the friend is not K, the one who ran away). I was thinking about how much things had changed in the last few years and how nice it would be to start over – or at least resume where we left off. The more I thought about it, though, I realized that I can’t pick up the phone and make that call. Life happens and people change, but sometimes you just can’t go back. [...]

I know I’m unforgiveably late to the party here, but I just wanted to say that I love this picture. I’m not sure I can articulate what it means to me, but it spoke to me anyway. How’s that for vague? ~A :-)

Oh, vague is fine. And late comments are also fine! I just appreciate the feedback. :D ~W
