Where did you find that beautiful path? I do believe I need to walk down it…

Is the long way home feeling a sense of deja vu driving up I-5 from Oregon? Does it mean enjoying the sounds of the girl in the backseat while having a desultory conversation with my husband, trapped in our own little world in the car?

It might! Especially if you “discovered” something along the way! ~W

:-) lovely thought. (And great photo too!) Probably need to meander a bit more in the summer. Just have to be sure that wherever we crash, they have Wi-Fi…

Because God forbid we go w/o internet for too long. :D  I heard a rumor that the local campsite is getting Wi-Fi.  I wonder if there is any truth to that?? But… I’m all for wandering this Summer.  ~W

Oh Man! That’s my Northwest. That’s why I love it over there. All the green, along with streams and mushrooms, and critters. WI has NOTHING on the PNW. Can’t wait til I can meander there again. I do plan to see the sights while I meander here in WI for now, tho. :) Thanks for the wonderful memories of WA/OR.

You’re welcome!  I can identify with how you’re feeling in WI.  We left Seattle (against my desires!) for PA when our kiddo was small and I was heartbroken.  I couldn’t fathom living anywhere else and I was hellbent on hating rural PA.  We were only there for 16 months, but in that time the place grew on me–in part because I did make a habit of meandering the back-roads every chance I got.  By the time we left, I found myself in love with the place–and sobbing just as hard to leave it, for Cali.  It’s a weird life, this moving around bit–but I think loving where you are when you’re there is far better than the alternative.

I’m looking forward to meeting you this summer.  ~W

That comment was easy- now what am I going to do with the post above? Hmmm?
