You've answered so many questions (and many I'd never known to ask). Giving me the ammo to take to my Viking dealer is such a help. I have a used Viking I purchased on ebay in 2004 & it was a lucky break I knew to bid on it because it's a great machine, however it made me want more (it only has a few decorative stitches & no embroidery). My hubby would rather eat glass than plow through this stuff. He appreciates your attention as it'll save some $$$ and peace!!! THANKS!!! This article was INCREDIBLY insightful, I gained more information in 15 minutes than I did in the hours I spent reading about them on the company/wikipedia/etc websites. I feel like I have a much better understanding of the machines we sell (and don't sell) - and I plan on using that information to help customers that come in to my store. Yes, help. I try to be one of the "good guys" when I can help it. As I am in the market for a new sewing machine (and serger!) this was also helpful to me personally. Thank you!
