Quotation marks? Really?!? You have some kid, Wende. I’m speechless.

That’s all well and insightful on the part of BW, but with those freckles and brown cow eyes, how can YOU bear for him to change? The evolution of a person is something to behold but there’s a part of a mother that wants to freeze them in time. Otherwise, they grow up and go off to Africa.

I can’t bear it! I’ve told myself every day since he was born that someday, he would leave. Doesn’t make it easier. Anyhow, I was just commenting to IZ that our BW reminds me of your Snarl, and it was only a matter of time before he heads off to Africa. ~W

Yeah - the boy was “wishing” about something (you know, those “wishes” that are really cleverly disguised complaints?) and I quipped back that I wished for world peace. He replied, “Well, that’s not gonna happen. Buck up!” Did I mention in the previous post the animals have won?

That was actually funny. He’s full of it lately.

Of course your kid would say something so wonderful. With you as a parent how could he not!?

I had a child like him the first time around–what an interesting trip that was. (to be continued…)

I think your self-aware child looks a lot like: Tyler Patrick Jones (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1090133/ ). Get him a job as a stand-in…for sure.

Goodness, the things that come out of this kid! Seriously, I hope you’re writing all of this in journals to make a book someday!

That’s awesome! I’m still at the stage with Rocket Boy where he says, after coughing on a bit of milk gone down the wrong pipe, “Yes, Mom, it went down the wrong way. Down here,” and points down his left leg. “It should have gone down here,” and points down his right leg. I can’t wait to see what he’ll say when he’s Boy Wonder’s age! ~A
