Pondering
Me: “Hey kiddo, what’s wrong? You seem a little sad.”
Boy Wonder: “Oh, no, I’m just thinking.”
Me: “Whatcha thinking about?”
Boy Wonder: “Oh, I’m thinking about physiology.”
Me: “You have some questions you need to ask me?”
Boy Wonder: “No, I’m just pondering the blood stream.”
And then he launched into a 10 minute explanation of his theories about the way blood moves through our bodies. Using all kinds of words that I have have to admit I don’t really understand. I guess he should have asked me if I had a few questions for him.
“. . .And that’s probably the reason our bodies don’t have touch sensors on the inside,” he concluded. Someday, I’m going to learn not to interrupt his pondering.

Here’s a scary thought - what if what comes out of his mouth is only 10% of what’s going on in his brain?

Um, if that’s true, I think we might be in trouble.

And here I thought your fine young fella
Was analyzing the spelling of sarsaparilla.

His description of antigens,

But enough of my babe
And his scientific pondering,
Rumors of your grand-babe
Has the whole blog-o-sphere wondering.

When I’d ask my son what he was thinking, it was always something like…”how many boogers do you think it takes to fill a coffee cup?”…stuff like that. The answer I gave him for that particular musing was…”It depends on the size of the booger.” Don’t say we didn’t communicate!

Oh, we get that stuff too. No discussion of bodily fluid is devoid of gross descriptions, and in today’s case, a performance art piece. Joy. ~W

I think he’ll be an inventor because he’s smart, and creative. Both my kids will be making not-much-money like me because they are into humanities type stuff, not really math or science. (DRAT)

Well, he wants to be an inventor… so you’re right on target there. As for the humanities…boy do I hear you. ~W

You know what’s even scarier than thinking that what comes out of his mouth is only 10% of what goes on in his head? The thought that he (like all of us) only uses about 10% of his brain.
If he were using his powers for evil, I would never sleep again. Buwahahahahahahaha
