And I made absolutely none of this food! Big thanks to Paula, Kathleen, Monica, and IZ. Nothing like being well fed on all fronts!

  • Oh Man, now I’m totally hungry. :) I love looking at your pictures. BW looks so cute ~er, handsome, groovy, whatever GUYS want to look. :)

Heh, I had to giggle… because I snapped photos all day for this blog post–but when I loaded up my photos, only two were of something other than food. Oh dear. :D ~W

  • Washington State wine! Columbia Crest Merlot-Cabernet? Could it have been from 2002?! You really are treated like a queen! My beloved and I enjoyed a dinner train trip to that winery a while ago.

I would love to join you and yours in a glass of wine sometime, Wende. Do you think we could all fit?

I don’t know if we could all fit, but it would certainly be fun to try!! :D ~W

  • Great friends + great food + great wine + great views + great Astoria *coffee = rolling home down the hill

Ha! I didn’t even think about it until you wrote that: I should have run inside to snap a few photos of that coffee mess as proof of why I’m not allowed to make the food. :D ~W

  • mmm…. it all looks so good, all over again.

Thanks so much for having us over, it’s always such a treat hanging out with you three. :)

& I haven’t laughed so hard in quite awhile! Seth Green!

Ha!  Seth Green.  So, when they make a movie about my life, do you think they will cast him to play me? Heh… and  did you notice they both have the same first and last initial? Coincidence? I think not! ~W

  • IZ:

Your photos are great (as usual). I was honored that one of my pics actually made the cut and was included. As for coffee pots that overflow… it fits my life-philosophy perfectly – the carafe is half full with refills on the way!

Oh, I should probably note that the knife photo is yours… my bad! (I was a zombie last night posting!) At least I asked for permission. :D   It’s a good photo.  Thanks for fixing all my messes yesterday.  I love you! ~W

  • It looks wonderful–even without the back stories of conversation and wine-drinking. Like Babette, I took a dinner train to that winery. Unlike her, I am no wine drinker–but would love to join you in a coffee or Hef.

    ____________________________________

You and yours would always be welcome–we’d have coffee AND Hef for you!  We call that two-fisted drinking in these parts! Ok, just at my house,  because the town is Scandi not Southern. ;) ~W

  • Good day, good pics. :-)

Indeed!  Have a lovely Easter, Michelle. ~W

  • Wonderful night and laughter therapy with friends. Who could ask for more?! Thanks so much, Wende, for being our delightful host once again, and thanks much to IZ for the coffee and the grunt work. You’re the best!!

Thank YOU!! Your cupcakes were a HUGE hit!! The boy said, “Take a picture so we know how she made them” and I was happy to inform him that I’d already done it! ~W

  • That last picture really looks good! I’m thinking tonight is the night for a hot bubble bath and a glass of wine!

    An excellent combination! Enjoy!!~W

  • Looks like a beautiful one. You are surrounded by such lovely people in your life!
