That sounds absolutely wonderful! I love your singing idea--it is a much better option than getting annoyed when the teens without costumes show up.

Sheesh. No wonder we couldn't find you! We couldn't even SEE him! However, it was a mob scene down there. There was a similar thing in Chico, which is ten times the size of here and they had about 1/3 the turnout and 1/4 the merchant participation. That event yesterday made Chico look like pikers!

I hope we're not the ones you're referring to as "disappointing," we really did try to look for you!!!

It sounds utterly wonderful--Mexican chocolate is yummy. Some think that teenagers are too old to trick or treat, but many still love to dress up in costumes. Around my house, if you wear a costume, it's OK. It's better than being out drinking, vandalizing or doing other icky things. It was VERY cold around here; we didn't have anywhere near the numbers we normally do.

We had a lovely day. I don't mind the teenagers... they tend to be pretty inventive and take it all in stride. We had some fairly talented kids drop by yesterday--so much fun! ~Wen

yay photos! i do think his costume was a success even if he did totally fade into the background. that and i think you officially proved the whole martha-theory-of-excellence wrong. feel free to get your free time back.

we want to see the kid! that and you need to share which bit was altered. as for the dog, i'm impressed that with her stubbornness she let anybody put that costume on. looks pretty excited, though.

as for me on halloween, i'm sitting at home watching the telly. that and no one will stop at my door because i live in BFE.

Ok... look, photos and an update. I'm too good to you! As for the costume: I just sewed in the tulle--he wanted people to not be able to see his face. The photo captures him, because of the flash---but in real life his face was impossible to see unless you got really close in. ~Wen
