Sophie is three, she is from a top breeder who retire their dogs early. They pick the best of the last litter and that dog becomes the new breeding dog–so Sophie was the best of her litter! She’s darling. And we got lucky, they had just listed her and since we emailed have had several offers. We can’t wait–they are keeping her until we come home from our holiday so that she doesn’t have to be kenneled while we are gone! That would be so cruel so early in her transition here.

Assuming she is leash trained we will definitely go walking with you. And if she isn’t now, she will be!

Yeah, people assume I’m not a dog person–hardly the fact.  What I’m opposed to is poorly bred and poorly trained dogs. And Sophie is neither. In fact, it’s not really dogs I dislike, as much as dog owners who aren’t responsible. I’ve not had a dog in years because we didn’t have the space for one… (IZ being opposed to those purse sized pups). Dogs left alone in tiny spaces make for very unhappy souls–and I could never do it to a dog. So, now that we have room and space, well–enter Sophie. Besides, despite my love affair, she is being adopted for Boy Wonder’s benefit. He needs a companion.
