This photo was taken around 6 am this morning on my deck. It’s a bit blurry, because, hey, it was 6 am and I’m blurry at that hour. Boy Wonder has discovered the joy of watching the sun rise over the Columbia River. My boy is a true Lark. Being the owl that I am, I’m no fan of sunrises. However, it’s not hard to see why he is:
He’s decided, after two days of sunrises to make this a once a month thing. Note to self: teach the boy to make espresso.
I like it blury. What a beautiful way to start the day. He’s lucky to have a parent willing to sit with him during the sun rise.
He’s hard to refuse when he gives you that look and says, “But it’s so BEAUTIFUL, Mom–and I’d love some company.”
Well, how cool is that. It’s awesome you got to do that.
My son is a night owl like me…he’d be sleeping on the deck chair and missing the whole thing. Your son on the other hand seems to have wisdom beyond his years and is savouring every bit of it.
I figure I’ll sleep when I’m dead or in the old folks’ home. You know my owlishness makes yours look positively larkish and I couldn’t refuse something that poignant.
Hope you get a nap later, nonetheless!
Princess goes to BAB tomorrow…I need to go take some steroids or other performance enhancer so I can chase those kids around the mall.
Beautiful. Both the Boy and the sunrise.
You will treasure these times together when he is all grown up. (sniff) I am not a big early morning fan either–since I have to get up so early for work.
